PERSONAL INJURY VIDEO DOCUMENTATION

Day-in-the-Life Videos

Day-in-the-Life Videos

Show how an injury affects everyday life.

A day-in-the-life video documents everyday routines, mobility and care needs, adding visual context to written records. KDay Video works with attorneys and participants to create a clear, respectful view of life after injury for litigation and mediation.

Work directly with Kevin Day. Based in Duncan, South Carolina.

Make the daily impact easier to understand

The details of an ordinary day can help explain a personal injury claim. A carefully planned recording gives legal teams a view of what a person does independently, where assistance is needed and how activities fit into daily life.

Everyday routines

Document relevant activities such as getting ready, preparing a meal or moving through the home. The activities included should reflect the participant’s actual routine and the purpose discussed with counsel.

Mobility and access

Show how a person navigates familiar spaces and uses mobility aids or adaptations. Filming is planned around the participant’s abilities, comfort and access requirements.

Care and support

Document assistance from family members or caregivers where appropriate and agreed. Clear context helps viewers understand the support involved in everyday activities.

From planning to an agreed presentation

01

Define the purpose

Discuss the case context, intended audience, locations and activities with Kevin Day. Identify what the recording needs to show and how counsel will review it.

02

Plan around the participant

Agree on consent, privacy boundaries, care schedules and who will be present. Build a manageable recording plan around real routines, with room for breaks and changing needs.

03

Record with context

Capture relevant activities as they occur, with attention to clear audio and framing. The goal is factual documentation. Participants should not be asked to perform invented scenarios or push beyond their usual limits for the camera.

04

Review and deliver

Prepare the agreed edit for counsel’s review. Confirm requested revisions, file formats and any additional footage or versions within the project scope before final delivery.

What to share when you get in touch

Start with your firm, the general purpose of the video, filming location and any important dates. It also helps to identify the routines to document, anticipated participants, accessibility needs and the intended audience. Detailed case records are not needed for an initial inquiry; discuss how to share sensitive materials before sending them.
